Check out my one minute video describing the web 2.0 tool Screencast-o-Matic. This is a free online screen capture device that anyone can use to create tutorials, lessons, class projects, or business presentations.

Reading your post and watching your video, I have a few comments:
ReplyDelete1. Good job on the video! I like the transitions. Too many or overuse of the "special" transitions can be a bit cheesy, but you managed them well.
You also included a good amount of information, but it wasn't overwhelming.
2. The video is a minute and 10 seconds. While I don't think that's too long, it might be too long for the assignment. You may want to talk the instructor? (Just trying to save you some points :) )
3. Thank you! For using this and bringing this our attention. I actually had need of a screen capture program for my PC, and Screenflow only works on Macs. I had found a few other programs, but they were all too pricey and more complicated than I needed. This seems perfect. I guess it's true you can find anything you need on the internet!
4. I have to ask: Did you use Screencast o Matic for the screencapture to make a video on using Screencast? (Or did you use Screenflow)
:D
But really, good job Dave. Thanks for the informative video!
I did use the Screencast-o-matic for this video. It worked well for me. We only use PC at work so this tool will come in handy.
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for a tool like this, thanks for demonstrating it!
